Status Updates

May 2005
We are gearing up for our next and final test of half of the system mid-June.

Sasha Magee and Mang have done a great job putting together a short video about the Simnuke Project. Check it out (12mb mov).

Invitations to the Trinity event will be going out soon. If you would like to contribute, are a member of the media and would like to cover it, or if you would like to attend, please contact us.

April 2005
Over the April 2 weekend, members of the team traveled to New Mexico to visit the Trinity Site, where the first atomic weapon was detonated, ushering in the Atomic Age - the event the Simnuke Project is commemorating. The team visited the site on one of the two days per year the site is open to the public. It was an eerie experience - visiting a place (along with thousands of others) where the world changed, marked only by a sterile monument standing emotionless in the vast barren expanse of the Jornada del Muerto in the White Sands Missile Range. We did interview many people on camera at the site, which was an interesting experience. will be visited the Trinity Site on April 2 for historical connection . View some mages of the journey here.

We also visited the area above Los Alamos National Laboratories damaged by the devestating Cerro Grande fire in May 2000. It is near this area we will return to New Mexico to plant the Trinity Grove.

March 2005
Performed another successful test the weekend of March 25th, click here for some images.
